A drone's payload

A drone can be used for fishing. However, you need to consider the payload. A drone that can carry large fish and has enough endurance will be ideal. If you plan on using your drone only for a few minutes, chances are you won't catch enough fish to make it worthwhile. Luckily, the technology behind drone fishing in New Zealand is getting better.

How To

Repairing a damaged motor on a drone

First, identify the broken part of the motor to repair it. The easiest way to do this is to remove the propeller from the motor shaft. Then remove any wires and take a look at the motor's inner workings. If there is something wrong with the motor, you will know which part you need to repair.

If there is no damage to the motor, then you don't have to worry too much however if the motor looks like one of these images below, then you'll need to replace some components before you can fly again.

Imagine a motor that isn't turning anymore because it has been bent. The motor must be bent again. To hold the motor, use a vice grip or pair of pliers. After this is done, you should inspect the motor carefully for any signs or wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. Now you are ready to fly your drone!
